2017 Summer Season Auditions

AUDITIONS FOR WAGON WHEEL THEATRE 2017 SUMMER SEASON

The Wagon Wheel Theatre, a professional non-union theatre in Warsaw, Indiana is pleased to announce auditions for its 2017 summer season: Disney’s Newsies. Footloose, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Young Frankenstein, The Crucible, Into the Woods, and Next to Normal.  Pay is $325 a week, housing not included.  All roles are open and all ethnicities are encouraged to attend.

CHICAGO, IL FEBRUARY 25TH AND 26TH

At Chicago Academy for the Arts 1010 West Chicago Ave. Chicago, IL  60640

Saturday, February 25th from 10am – 5pm.  To make an audition appointment, please call (574) 269-9310 on Saturday Feb. 18th between 12pm-4pm EST only! If appointments do fill up, there will be a signup sheet for walk-ups. You will be seen! Please prepare one up-tempo and one ballad, 16 bars each.

Callbacks on Sunday, February 26th.  MEN 9am-12:30pm, WOMEN 1pm-4:30pm

We will have a dance combination and cold readings/singing at call-backs.

(We are aware that Music Theatre of Wichita has auditions on the same days.  We have been in contact with them and we are working together so you can attend both auditions.  Please check our callback times and plan your Wichita Dance Call time accordingly)

 

WARSAW, IN MARCH 5th  (At the Wagon Wheel Theatre. Professional Actors/College students only)

Open Call on Sunday March 5thAn open call will be held from 10am-1pm EST.  Prepare one up-tempo and one ballad, 16 bars each.  This local call is for professional actors and college students only, we will have a Youth Auditions at a later date.

Call-backs will follow from 1pm-7pm.  You will be taught a short dance combination and vocal selections from our summer season. Some will be kept for cold readings.

 

KALAMAZOO, MI MARCH 12th

At Western Michigan University Theatre Building 1903 W. Michigan Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008.

Open Call on Sunday, March 12th. An open call will be held from 9am-1pm. Prepare one up-tempo and one ballad, 16 bars each.

Call-backs will follow from 1pm-7pm.  You will be taught a short dance combination and vocal selections from our summer season. Some will be kept for cold readings.

 

University Auditions (For attending students only!):

FLORIDA STATE FEBRUARY 20-23rd

For FSU Students only: At Florida State University.  Students contact Professor Gayle Seaton for times and location. 

Please prepare one up-tempo and one ballad, 16 bars each.  You will be taught a short dance combination and vocal selections from our summer season. Some will be kept for cold readings.
