Community
Partnerships

As a part of the nonprofit and service-minded community in Kosciusko County and Northeast Indiana, the Wagon Wheel seeks to foster positive relationships with other organizations and programs through community partnerships. These partnerships help build a stronger community and deepen our services to our friends and family.

The Wagon Wheel partners with the following organizations to build a stronger Warsaw and a stronger Indiana. For questions about partnering, reach out to our Executive Director, Lakesha Green at lakesha@wagonwheelcenter.org.

Holiday Musical Field Trip

Since the 1980s, the Wagon Wheel has offered daytime performances of their annual Holiday Musical to schoolchildren. These field trip performances give students the opportunity to see live, professional theatre at a low cost. Schools from across the region attend each year including schools from Allen, Elkhart, Kosciusko, Marshall, Wabash, and Whitley counties. More than 4,000 students experience the magic and educational power of live theatre through this program. For many of these students, it is their first time attending a live theatre performance. Schools interested in learning more are invited to fill out this form. The Holiday Musical Field Trip program is funded by grants and individual donations.

Outside the Classroom Walls

At the Wagon Wheel, we know that the arts are a vital part of a strong education and building children into productive and creative adults. Our Wagon Wheel Conservatory program comes alongside our local educators to provide arts education outside the traditional classroom walls.  Schools and educators are encouraged to reach out to Kira Lace Hawkins, Education Director, for more information about partnering at kira@wagonwheelcenter.org.

The Classic Arts Coalition

The performing arts is rooted in our history as an organization and the legacy of our community. Classical music is the bedrock of our community’s performing art history with the Petrie Band Camps, Masterworks Festival, and many other programs that no longer exist to serve the need for music in our community. As a small, rural community, we know that the arts are stronger when they collaborate and support each other. That is what the Classic Arts Coalition does as it strives to collaborate the performance calendar and resources of the Classic Arts Programs, Grace College Music Department, and Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts (specifically, the Symphony of the Lakes).

Arts For All

The arts are for all. A popular saying you may have heard. But at the Wagon Wheel it is put into action through partnership with our friends at Cardinal Services. Cardinal Services helps us fulfill our mission of providing performing arts experiences that create community unity by engaging their clients, adults with disabilities, in our programs.
