Wagon Wheel Conservatory 2026 Fall classes are now open for registration!
This six-week session of classes begins August 24th and runs through October 4th, culminating in a showcase performance at 3pm on Sunday, October 4th with a full rehearsal from 12:00pm-2:15pm beforehand. Classes will take place in either the Wagon Wheel Conservatory or the Wagon Wheel rehearsal room, and prices vary. Please see the details regarding location, price, day, time, and age group for each class.

This class brings all the drama to the stage! Whether you’ve taken an acting class with us before or you’re brand new to the stage, this class will further develop your vocal and physical techniques to bring text and characters to life. Through exercises, scene studies, and a short dynamic script, students will work collaboratively to rehearse a final showcase performance for family and friends.

Bring characters and scenes to life! This class will provide participants with carefully selected scenes to study and perform. This studio class will meet you where you are to further develop your vocal techniques, physical expression, and ability to fully develop character while living truthfully on stage moment to moment. Through exercises and scene studies, participants will exercise their acting chops and rehearse dynamic scenes to present during the final showcase for family and friends.

This class is an introduction to the adventurous world of theatre! Whether you’ve taken an acting class with us before or you’re brand new to the stage, this class will develop vocal and physical techniques to bring text and characters to life. Through acting games, exercises, and a short dynamic script, students will work collaboratively to rehearse a final showcase performance.

After a successful launch in Fall 2025, Stage Combat Acting is back by popular demand. This class is designed for young actors who are curious about how moments of physical action, including fight scenes and stunts, are staged, rehearsed, and performed convincingly and consistently for stage and film. Instruction emphasizes safety, control, precision, believability, and sustainability through illusion, truthful acting, and controlled movement. Students will train in unarmed stage combat acting technique grounded in industry best practices and informed by the standards of the Society of American Fight Directors. Students will rehearse and perform fully staged fight scenes as part of the class showcase, applying their acting skills and action techniques learned through storytelling.
Please note: The nature of this class involves the simulation of staged violence and verbal conflict (for theatrical and film performance purposes only). All physical action is carefully choreographed and practiced in a supervised, controlled environment with an emphasis on safety, consent, and control. Techniques taught in this class should not be attempted in real-life situations. This training does not condone violence or harm, and is intended solely for acting and storytelling purposes.

Modern musical theatre is more hip-hop and street dance driven than ever. From Hamilton to In the Heights, & Juliet to Bring It On and Legally Blonde, this high-energy class teaches the hip-hop, street jazz, and commercial dance styles that fuel today’s musical storytelling. Students will build unshakable confidence and dynamic stage presence — all while having a blast being introduced to the foundations of street dance, including popping, locking, breaking, and grooving. The class wraps with a final showcase performance for family and friends, where students can show off everything they’ve learned and leave it all on the stage!

Beginning to Intermediate dancers alike will have the chance to hone their skills and technique. This class is all about the fundamentals: rhythm, clarity, and combinations. This class will not have a performance in the Showcase. Tap shoes are not provided and will be required for students.

Whether you’re a lifelong theatre lover, a dancer, or just looking to shake up your fitness routine, this class is your weekly dose of movement, music, and motivation.

Back by popular demand and with an expanded curriculum, MT Dance Bootcamp is designed for students who want to strengthen their musical theatre dance abilities, with an emphasis on building technique and sharpening the skill of picking up choreography quickly. Students will apply these skills through real-world mock scenarios, with a focus on preparing for the dance call portions of musical theatre auditions they will encounter when auditioning for college programs, summer stock, and Broadway open calls. Whether you’re looking to build your audition toolkit or deepen your knowledge of musical theatre dance history and repertoire, this class offers a focused, practical blend of both.

Through games, exercises, and reading activities we will build an ensemble, develop comedic and improvisational skill, and learn best practices while preparing to perform a short improv scene in a final showcase for family and friends.

Wagon Wheel Conservatory’s Broadway 360 is Indiana’s new pre-professional musical theatre training studio for ages 13 to 19, and auditions are coming up fast!
What is Broadway 360?
Broadway 360 is Wagon Wheel Conservatory’s school-year-long, audition-based, pre-professional musical theatre training program for Indiana’s most talented and dedicated teenage actors, singers, and dancers who are serious about pursuing musical theatre at the collegiate or professional level.
The program combines rigorous, masterclass-style group instruction in acting, voice, and dance, led by working theatre professionals, with a holistic, 360-degree curriculum designed to prepare students for the demands of an increasingly competitive and evolving industry.
Why “360”?
The name reflects the spirit of the program: the 360° design of our unique in-the-round theatre space, our holistic 360° approach to arts education, and our unique “full-circle” relationship with the Broadway community, where former Wagon Wheel alumni return as guest teachers after building careers on Broadway and beyond.
Who can audition?
Dedicated performers ages 13 to 19 from anywhere within driving distance of Warsaw. Fort Wayne, South Bend, Elkhart, Goshen, Mishawaka, Wabash, Kendallville, Nappanee, Columbia City—we’re looking at you!
What are the program details?
- Program Dates: August–May | 10-Month Cohort
- Ages: 13–19
- Weekly Classes: Sundays, 4:00–8:00 PM or 4:30–8:30 PM
- Intensives: Extended Sunday Classes, 1:00–8:00 PM (12 Total) + Occasional School Night and Weekend Tech / Dress Rehearsals
- Total Calendar Days: 55 | Total Contact Hours: 250+ Hours

- HOW TO PREPARE
1. PREPARE 60-90 SECOND SONG CUT OF YOUR CHOOSING
Choose a selection that:- You know well and feel confident performing
- Shows off your vocal quality and range
- Is age appropriate
Please bring clearly marked sheet music in the appropriate key for the accompanist.
Students who have NOT yet been members of Broadway 360 are welcome to either bring their own song OR choose a song selection from this folder: SONG FOLDER HERE
Students who HAVE previously been members of Broadway 360 are challenged to select their own song, print it, identify a strong 60-90 cut, and clearly mark their cut on the sheet music.
2. DANCE CALL
Each audition will begin with a group dance call. You will learn a combination upon arrival. Please dress comfortably and wear clean dance shoes or sneakers (never worn outside) for the dance call.3. EAR-TRAINING & VOCAL RANGE CHECK
Students will also complete a brief ear-training and vocal range check to help determine appropriate vocal parts and placements within the cohort.CALLBACKS AND INTERVIEWS
Callbacks will include an interview with the student and at least one parent or legal guardian. Callback interviews will be scheduled individually based on student and family availability.
