Seussical is based upon the greatest, most loved books of Dr. Seuss. Well known characters such as The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie, and JoJo take part in the combined stories of Dr. Seuss. In Seussical, Horton the Elephant must persevere and protect a spec of dust on a clover, while at the same time having to keep safe an egg from Lazy Mazie La Brid. This kind-hearted elephant must face adversity and hardship, where he must discover the meaning of uniqueness and what it means to fight for his beliefs.

Seussical addresses common social themes such as individuality, being unique, and the importance of friendship, loyalty and love.
